Directions

We are conveniently located in Waynesville, North Carolina, just 25 minutes west of Asheville. We are near I-40 and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Here are some driving times to our inn:

  • Asheville & Biltmore Estate: 25 minutes
  • Atlanta, GA: 2.5 hours
  • Charleston, SC: 4.5 hours
  • Charlotte, NC: 2.5 hours
  • Cherokee, NC: 25 minutes
  • Columbia, SC: 3.5 hours
  • Greenville, SC: 1.5 hours
  • Knoxville, TN: 1.5 hours
  • Raleigh, NC: 4.5 hours

From Northeast or Southeast:
Take I-40 west from Asheville. Take Exit 27 onto Highway 23/74/19. Follow signs to Waynesville. Take Exit 102 and turn right onto 276 South (also called Russ Avenue). Continue till you come to Main Street (Presbyterian Church on your right). Turn right onto Main Street. Count 5 stoplights. 3 of them are in downtown Waynesville; the 4th is approximately 3/4 mile beyond town; the 5th is approximately 1/2 mile beyond that. Turn left at 5th light onto Country Club Drive. Mountain Mist is at the end of the street on the right, just before the intersection of Country Club Drive and Ninevah Road (Waynesville Country Club is across the street).
 
From Atlanta:
Pick up Route 441 at Clayton, Georgia. Take 441 north to 23/74. Take Exit 102 and follow directions above.
